As the Children’s ministry has grown significantly over the past few years, we have become increasingly aware of the need to strengthen the team and so we are therefore excited to be advertising a Children’s Lead role at Grace Church.
Children’s Lead
We are looking for someone who is passionate about children’s ministry and has a heart for helping children grow in their faith. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for this growing area of church life, while supporting and equipping a dedicated team of volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership, organisational and administration skills who will further develop the growing ministry, helping it to flourish in a healthy and sustainable way.
In addition, there is the option to serve one day a week within the Operations Team at Grace Church.
Hours: Part-time (2 days per week) as Children’s Lead, with an optional additional 1 day per week within the Operations Team.
Working Hours: Core office hours are 10:00am–2:00pm on weekdays and 8:30am–1:30pm on Sundays. Flexible working arrangements and choice of working days are available on negotiation.
Location: Salisbury (a combination of office-based work, home working, and ministry venues).
Main Purpose of Job
To take responsibility for the leadership for the church’s growing children’s ministry, providing vision and oversight, and ensuring the effective implementation of ministry plans.
To create a safe and welcoming environment that supports the discipleship of children, helping them grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus.
To lead, equip, and support a capable and thriving team of children’s ministry volunteers.
To help advance the objectives of Grace Church.
Optional additional day serving within the Operations Team, supporting church administration and operations.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has a strong and growing faith in Jesus Christ
Has a passion for children’s ministry and a heart for children’s discipleship.
Has experience of working with children.
Is able to lead, develop, and equip a team of volunteers.
Has strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to lead and develop a growing ministry.
Is able to communicate effectively with children and their families.
Experience of serving or leading within a church children’s ministry is desirable.
